Nobeltec
Radar-
Three powerful navigation tools
welded into one display!
The three most potent tools in modern
navigation – radar, GPS, and electronic charts – can now be fused
into a single PC display!
The all-new IR2 leverages the power of the PC to
bring together the world’s best navigation software with the
familiarity of traditional radar to create the ultimate navigation
system. IR2 offers unparalleled chart plotting and radar abilities that
provide higher resolution and greater confidence.
IR2 surpasses traditional radar systems through its
use of the award-winning Visual Navigation Suite and Nobeltec Admiral.
These navigation programs make the IR2 easy-to-use, affordable to update
and provide functionality not found on other radars. What’s more,
Nobeltec’s InSight Radar 2 models can be connected to a vessel wide
network, providing all of your nav stations with radar and chart
plotting data for true redundancy.
The new InSight Radar 2 – Bringing together the
best of traditional navigation and advanced technology.
Chart
& radar Orientation
Many radars only allow you to view your radar image in
Heads Up. InSight Radars improve upon that tradition
and provide you with the ability to view both the
chart and radar image and Heads Up, Course Up, Leg Up,
North Up, and Off Center with Look Ahead.

Point
& Click Radar
Most IR2 features can be activated using a few simple mouse clicks.
For example, MARPA targets can be acquired by simply pointing at the
radar target and clicking. Targets can then be monitored by speed,
closest point of approach and course.
Auto
Range
With chart overlay, Auto-Range automatically adjusts the range of
the radar to match the scale of the chart. As you zoom in and out on
the chart, or change the radar range, the two are kept in sync to
create a consistent view.
Auto-Gain & Auto-Sea
Nobeltec allows you to specify Sea Clutter and Gain preset settings for
your radar. After these presets are configured, Auto-Gain and Auto-Sea
help you to maintain a consistent radar image as the radar range changes
Nobeltec Radar connects directly to your
computer and lets you display real-time radar images. When connected to
a GPS your computer can overlay radar targets, range/bearing markers,
and guard zones right on an electronic chart. In addition to this chart
overlay feature, other radar display modes include a split-screen
setting that places radar and chart images in separate windows, or a
dedicated mode where your PC serves as a radar display only. The special
edition of VNS incorporates a radar toolbar for easy access to a host of
radar-related features including Guard Zone and EBL, VRM, adjustable
return colors, and much more. You can even record a voyage and play it
back at a later date on your computer screen.
