SEAviz
Virtual Instruments
SEAviz
enables you to display information from engines, electrical systems,
water and fuel tanks, wind and GPS instruments, etc in digital,
analog and graphical format on any windows PC.

SEAviz is a Windows PC program that
captures the NMEA 0183 serial output data from CruzPro (or other NMEA
0183) instruments and displays the information on your computer screen
in analog and/or digital format and graphs. You can set local low and
high alarms on any or all parameters and SEAviz will sound and log all
alarm conditions, date, time, etc. The data can be shown in any
combination analog, digital and graphical formats. The screens are very
easy to configure using a mouse and it takes only minutes to configure a
screen display template. All your favorite screen templates and settings
can be saved and recalled at will. Data can also be captured to the hard
drive for later analysis.
SEAviz is a wonderful tool for
observing engine and boat performance and/or monitoring your electrical
system, fuel, tankage, and other parameters such as wind. Wind speed,
direction and evolution, wind shifts and patterns can be decrypted in a
glance.
Cruisers and professionals will also
find SEAviz useful for plotting depths or looking at barometer evolution
up to two days back.
SEAviz provides full control of how
each instrument looks with full user control over size, location,
decimal point selection, scaling, etc.
SEAviz
virtual instruments enable you to have a “Glass Bridge” display
while the actual gauges can be located elsewhere.
Compatible
with CruzPro Intelligent Instruments
SEAviz
is the only software application that can read the standard and
proprietary NMEA data sentences from CruzPro instruments developed by BV
Engineering. These instruments work with all popular senders and provide
data for:
 | Engine-
revs, water temperature, oil pressure, pyrometer |
 | Electrical-
battery volts, amps, amp hours |
 | Tankage-
Fuel, water and grey water levels |
 | Accessories
– Anchor rode, time of day, elapsed engine hours, depth, boat
speed, trip and total logs, etc. |
SEAviz
can also display the data from all instrument systems that output NMEA
data, allowing display and graphing of such data as:
 |
Wind
speed and direction |
 |
Boat
speed and heading |
 |
Depth |
 |
Load
Cells |
