These rough duty (NEMA
6P/IP68) monitors are designed for constant exposure to the elements and are
briefly submersible, not just splash-proof like NEMA 4/IP 65 displays.
Many monitors have
transflective films which assures excellent brightness in direct sunlight, but
have only 350 nit or less native (backlit) brightness. They suffer from poor
picture quality in shade, or overcast conditions. The 700 nit native brightness
of this display, enhanced with transflective film, assures a great image,
regardless of the natural lighting.
