Alpha Navigational/Surveillance Computer

With 4 (8 optional) PoE ports, the Alpha is the foremost marine fanless NVR  (Network Video Recorder)

Utilizing 32nm Intel® Core™ i7/ i5 processors, the Alpha Navigational/Surveillance Marine computer  features Intel® Turbo Boost and Intel® Hyper-Threading technologies (2 cores, 4 threads), as well as on-processor graphics and 4Gb of DDR3  1066 memory. In addition, Alpha provides a wide variety of display configurations and rich I/O interfaces including two Intel® GbE Ethernet ports, 4 COM ports, 4 POE, 6 USB, 8 GPIO, 2 SATAII, 2 eSATA, and audio interfaces. The Alpha is designed for a broad range of applications which demand intense graphics performance; including Navigational and surveillance/security applications.

The two solid state hard drives are configured RAID 0. This means that they mirror each other, so backups are automatic and in real time. Also, should one drive fail, ( extremely rare in a solid state drive) the computer will continue on the second drive. When the bad drive is replaced it will automatically mirror.  The hot swappable feature will allow you to remove one drive to use your data in a remote location without having to shut down the computer.

PoE (Power over Ethernet) allows you to power your network cameras using the same cable you would for the video signal, simplifying wiring.
